Parents and guardians: seminary registration has two parts. First, register your student in MySeminary. Then, if your student will attend released-time seminary, add it to the student’s school schedule.
ABOUT SEMINARY
Seminary is a worldwide, four-year religious education program for youth ages 14–18. Students study the scriptures, follow Come, Follow Me, and learn practical lessons that build faith for everyday life. The program is operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is open to youth of all faiths.
WHAT STUDENTS STUDY
Over four years, students study the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants & Church History. Students who complete all four years receive a seminary diploma.
WHY SEMINARY?
Come closer to Jesus Christ • Make new friends • Find answers • Build faith
Seminary helps students feel God’s love, deepen their testimony, build emotional and spiritual strength, and prepare for the temple, missionary service, education, and family life.
AVAILABLE OPTIONS
Released-Time • Early Morning • Adapted Needs • Spanish • Online
If one option does not fit your student’s schedule, contact a local seminary program to discuss alternatives.

AFTER MYSEMINARY
Released-time families have one more task: add seminary to the student’s school schedule. Use Skyward during summer scheduling, or contact the counseling office for a middle school student.
If your student is not attending released-time seminary, this school-schedule step does not apply.
